Our First EG First Surf Camp partnered with George Robinson and Space Coast Surf Camps for an extraordinary week for surfing! The waves were small, but great to learn to surf on! The camp taught surfing safety, water safety, shark and riptide awareness, and even life saving skills. All of this was done under the leadership of the Holy Spirit! Join us this summer for surf camp 2012! Hope to see you there!

EG FIRST SURF CAMP

For all ages (6 and above – must be able to swim)

$115 - 9 am – 12:30 pm

Lori Wilson Park, Cocoa Beach (life guards on duty)

Transportation will be provided by the church

Boards provided by the camp unless you choose to bring your own

Liability form must be signed by the parents on the first day before we leave the church.

Snacks included

Typical Day

8:30 am – Leave the Church

9:-10:30 – Surfing Lessons / practice

10:30-10:45 – break

10:45-11:50 – Surfing Lessons / practice

12-12:30 – informational class

2 subjects daily

-surf technique

-ethics

-history

-board care/ding repair

-surfboard design and construction

- choosing and buying a board

-shark awareness

-stretches/exercises

-ocean and weather awareness, riptides

CPR & lifesaving skills taught by certified USLA lifeguard

12:30 pm – equipment return / rinse / return to church

Surf Camp Coordinator and Instructor – George Robinson

George has been surfing since 1966 and in the surf industry since 1970. His goal has been to teach surfing in a fun and family environment, with the disciplines and coaching to teach great surfing values. Come learn and have fun with us!
