Families on a Mission is a group of volunteers that have come together to reach out to the local community. They provide the opportunity for people in our area to come and get clothing every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am - noon at EG First, working hand in hand with the Benevolence and Food Pantry Ministries of EG First.
Families on a Mission is always taking donations of new and gently used clothing, shoes, toys, and small items that others can be blessed with. The church can provide a donation receipt if needed. Please bring donations to the church during business hours or make arrangements with the leaders.
We offer a free clothing and household ministry along side with the food pantry and the church's financial assistance for utility bills in the 32935 & 32934 areas.
We help families with Thanksgiving meals, Christmas presents and back to school supplies at special times. We do varies events through out the year for families in need.
History of Families on a Mission:
Meet Kelly Loyd. After her step-son Josiah was diagnosed with a brain tumor the church not only helped them financially when her husband left work to be home, they helped emotionally and spiritually.
"They made a big impact in our life. When Josiah passed away I wanted to give back and I needed to stay occupied. My best friend and I started seeing posts on social media asking for help with food, clothing and other items families needed. So we went to the store and started buying what we could. Donations started to come into my house and we started swapping items from our shed. We would travel all over Brevard dropping off items and picking up donations. Sometimes it wasn't the best areas or situations for two girls to be doing it alone. The church offered us a room not long after so we could safely run our ministry. We are going on three years now!! I love doing what we do and we want to keep this going!! So please keep those donations coming!"-Kelly
